Russell I. Marnell, of the Marnell Law Group, has been named a Super Lawyer in Metro New York. Since 1985, he has litigated over 700 cases to trial, including those involving complex custody, equitable distribution, child support and maintenance issues. He has offices in Melville, East Meadow and Smithtown.

Newsday Speaks to Russell I. Marnell about Funding a Divorce Russell I. Marnell told Newsday that it may be necessary to borrow money in order to pay for a divorce. The borrower may have to sign a promissory note, or a binding obligation to repay at the end of a divorce, once the martial assets are divided. The divorce process cannot proceed without interruption due to lack of money.
